Saraighat College situated at Changsari (Kamrup, Assam) in the Northern Bank of the mighty River Brahmaputra is imparting higher education since its establishment in 1981. Our motto as embodied in the college emblem is "na hi jnanena sadrsam pavitram iha vidyate" i.e. Nothing in this world is as pure as Knowledge. Keeping with this spirit, the college is striving hard to disseminate knowledge to its students and enable them to grow and flourish as socially responsible individuals. It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all the students, guardians, stakeholders and well wishers to this institution.
Education in Saraighat College incorporates both classroom teaching as well as field based exercises to broaden the learners' thought process and enable them to cope with rapidly changing needs and demands of the present times. It is our endeavour to advance the profession of education through application of best practices in teaching-learning along with effective usage of modern technology to make the academic environment more learner centric and contemporary in nature.
